London

I've spent the last 6 days in London and will be coming away with very mixed feelings.  The main reason for being here was to go on a course to learn a new skill and see if I was any good at it.  Well, that part of the trip was absolutely fantastic!  Not only have I learned so much in the last 5 days, but I have developed a new passion for something that could become a career choice.  I have learned so much that my head feels like it could explode!  And I hope that having written careful notes and taken photographs of each stage of the work I have completed I will be able to continue producing good quality products once I am back home and as practice makes perfect, do even better than I have while on the course.

I also learnt that I do not have to take an expensive City and Guilds course to do well with this career choice, but better to keep attending occasional workshops, perfecting my skills and create a portfolio of my work and skills.  This of course is a revelation, as it has potentially saved me a small fortune and means I can put my rates back up :) I will leave them as they are until the end of February though, seeing as I know people have been waiting for me to get back to Worcester to benefit from the lower rate and I can still use the money to fund my workshops and travel.

With regards to Escorting in London?  I'm not sure I will bother again.  I met 2 clients that I saw the last time I was in London, both of which are lovely and if I am honest yes I would come back to see them, perhaps arrange it so I meet them both on the same day and go back home the next day, but I would not tour London as such again.  There seems to be a strange mentality over here that for me comes across as rude and thoughtless, oh and let's not forget the snobbery!  Over the course of the day (while trying to learn new skills) I have taken loads of calls from potential clients and secured at least a dozen bookings and not one of them turned up.  This involved me rushing back to the hotel, where I could have continued with my training, it has involved me going without food and getting dressed up to the nine's when really I'd have liked to curl up on the sofa with a nice cuppa and a book or have a nap.  Not one of these 'gentleman' bothered to call and let me know they were not coming.

Curiously last night I had a call (quite late) from a chap called Jason.  He said he was just 10 minutes away and would like to make a booking and come straight over.  As I started to describe where I was he started to back track and said, 'Oh I'm sorry I'm so embarrased, I thought you were in North Greenwich.  I'll get back to you' clink!  What does that mean?  Why is there so much snobbery about where you are located?  I'm here because it is close to my course.  I'm about 20 mins from the City centre, so not that far away from where I'm told the perfect location is and why does everyone want me to be in the North?  Someone else told me that Greenwich was not the most desirable of places, but surely it is the hotel and me that should matter?  I'm in a 4* hotel, right next to the station, 5 steps and you're in the hotel.  Why is that a problem?

Perhaps I am looking too hard for reasons why people would book me and then not turn up, but rather that than really believe that the male population in London are all so rude!  Or that they have nothing better to do with their lives, or as someone else suggested, some rival Escort is getting ppl to ring me up and put me off working on their turf.  If that is the case, congratulations... It's worked!

So... I'm leaving here £500 down, which thankfully I can afford due to having an overnight booking before I came here and as I'm no longer saving up for a City and Guilds course I don't have to feel too dispondent about taking it out of the kitty, but what a shame that I had to spend so many evenings on my own, when I could have been entertaining and having fun, just because the people who had got in touch with me, could not be bothered to let me know they were not coming.  It has been suggested to me that I should take a deposit before coming over here, which is a good point, but I don't think that would stop the timewasters, as the 2 people I did see had both pre-booked and it was the same day callers that were the timewasters and I can't get a deposit from them.  Perhaps I should have a pre-book only policy or a book on aw only policy?

Gentleman, for the Escorts like myself that care, customer feedback is very important.  If you decide you don't like the location, or whatever other reason it may have been, that the booking is a 'plan B' even, let us know and then we can also work around it, possibly even move location if staying I while as I was, but please, please don't just not turn up.  It's rude, thoughtless and it's not about the money, it's about allowing that lady to have a life, to go out, to get a relaxing bath or just to budget while she is away from home.

A strange time in London, which is a little overshadowed by the bad manners, but on the whole a very successful one.  Thank you to all the clients who have been in touch and asked me how I am getting on with the course and thank you to the two clients who I met for the second time and for being great company, as well as the obvious lol.  Without you I would have spent every evening on my own and wondering if it was me that was at fault.  At least knowing that you both chose to see me again I was able to brush off those doubts and feel confident that it is nothing to do with me, but more about the attitude of London punters who are perhaps a little spoilt and have forgot that Escorts are living, breathing people to.

Addition

I've had time to calm down a little and think about my time in London.  I'm still not happy about the lack of communication that I had from most of the the clients that booked me and then did not turn up, but... having actually got on the train and the underground to go into central London on the Saturday myself, I can kind of understand how difficult it was to get to where I was staying.  I had a few people assume I was staying in Greenwich North, which of course I wasn't and they were put off when I told them I wasn't.  Not really understanding I put this down to some kind of snobbery, but the truth seems to be more likely it was because it is next to the Jubilee Line and therefore easy to go to.

With this knowledge and understanding I am more inclined to give London one more try.  I chatted to several guys on cam on my last day in Greenwich, who were keen that I would return and at the time although it did not appease me, in retrospect I do think I could do well there in the right location.  With this in mind I will be looking to place myself somewhere centrally.  I will be travelling down by train, so won't be able to bring quite so much with me, but hopefully the hotel will be right next to a major station or tube line.  If anyone has any suggestions on places to stay (not too cheap or expensive please) then I would be very grateful.
